SPAR Nigeria, one of the leading shopping malls operating in Africa’s largest economy, has reverted to its original operations timetable. A notice sent out by the company earlier today informed customers in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Port Harcourt, and Calabar about the development.
According to SPAR, all of its outlets in Lagos (Opebi, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Surulere, Lekki, Ilupeju and Tejuosho) will now be operating from 9 am to 9 pm on a daily basis, as before. Similarly, SPAR outlets in Port Harcourt, Enugu, and Calabar will equally operate from 9 am to 9 pm.
In Abuja, SPAR outlets in Ceddi Plaza and Wuse II will also operate from 9 am to 9 pm daily. However, the Mount View outlet in Abuja will only operate from 9 am to 8 pm.
The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the business activities of most brick and mortar retailers across Nigeria and beyond. The lockdown restricted people’s movements, even as the 6 am to 10 pm curfew that was subsequently put in place forced outlets like SPAR to close earlier.
