Leading cement manufacturer, BUA Cement Plc, announced earlier today (December 22nd, 2020) that it is set for expansion through the construction of 3 new production lines.
In a regulatory filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange which was obtained by Nairabrands, the company said the additional production lines, the contract for which will be signed this week, will each have production capacity of 3 million metric tonnes per annum.

NOTIFICATION OF CAPACITY EXPANSION OF BUA CEMENT PLC
BUA Cement Plc “BUA Cement” or “the Company” hereby notifies the Nigerian Stock Exchange, its esteemed shareholders and the investing public that the Company will sign a contract for the building of additional production lines of 3 million metric tonnes per annum each, this week.
The contract will be signed between the Company and Sinoma CBMI of China, and the production lines will be located at Adamawa, Edo, and Sokoto States.
